You don't need to have it all figured out.
Maybe you're exploring a career change. Maybe you've always wanted to work with dogs. Or maybe you've started grooming and want help with the basics.
Start with a conversation. Tell us what you'd like to learn, and we'll help you choose a suitable first step. Call us on 03 7001 7506 or send us a message.
Before you begin.
Do I need grooming experience?
No. Training days suit complete beginners as well as people who have started grooming and want help with the basics. Your trainer matches each day to your experience.
Will I become a groomer in one day?
No. A training day is a practical starting point. Grooming skills build over time with repetition and practice, which is why we also offer a five-day package.
Can I start with just one day?
Yes. A single $350 training day is a simple way to try salon learning before committing to more.
Where does the training take place?
In our working grooming salon at Shop 2/49 Mason Street, Newport VIC 3015.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes you don't mind getting wet or covered in fur, and bring lunch for your break. Salon equipment and products are provided during training.
Is this a nationally recognised qualification?
No. Our training days are practical, hands-on tuition in a working salon. They are not an accredited or nationally recognised qualification.
Dog wellbeing comes first. Practical activities depend on the learner's readiness, supervision and suitable dogs available. The topics above describe a learning pathway, not everything covered in a single day.
